Community Guidelines

Community Guidelines

Humini Live is a private place to be there for your people, in joy and in care. These guidelines are how we keep it that way.

Why we have these

Live is not a feed, and it is not full of strangers. It is a set of private circles, each one made up of people who already know each other. Everyone here was invited by someone they trust, by their mobile number, into a specific group.

That is what makes Live feel safe, and it only works if everyone keeps it that way. These Community Guidelines describe the behaviour we expect and the behaviour we will not allow. They are written in plain language, and they form part of, and are incorporated into, our Terms of Service. Where the exact legal wording matters, the Terms govern.

The short version. Bring only people you actually know. Show up for them, in joy and in care. Treat what happens in a circle as something shared in confidence. Do not post or send anything that would harm, harass, or expose another person. If something feels wrong, report it, we act on it.

1. Bring only people you know

Every group on Live is private and invite-only. There is no public directory and no way to search for people.

2. Show up with care

A Moment carries one of two hearts: Joy, when you are celebrating with someone, or Care, when you are standing with someone through a hard time. Video Bytes are short, personal videos your circle records for the person a Moment is about.

3. What is never allowed

We operate a strict zero-tolerance policy towards objectionable content and abusive behaviour, whether in a Moment, a Video Byte, a call, or any other interaction. You must not create, upload, send, request, or take part in any of the following:

This is not the full legal list. Section 5 of the Terms of Service sets out prohibited conduct in full.

4. The tools you have

You are not on your own here. The App gives you ways to keep your interactions safe:

5. What happens when the rules are broken

When you report something, it counts. Reports are weighted by severity and build up a moderation score for the reported user. As that score accumulates, the Service may automatically apply temporary or permanent restrictions on the account, and reports may also be reviewed by our team.

Moderation decisions, whether automated or made by a person, are at the Company's discretion. We may remove content and suspend or permanently ban an account, with or without prior notice, where we determine these guidelines have been broken. Severe violations, including sexually explicit content and anything involving a minor, are grounds for immediate and permanent removal.

To make review possible, reported calls and Video Bytes are kept only as long as needed to conclude the report, up to a maximum of 90 days. How we handle this data is explained in our Privacy Policy.

6. Report something or reach us

If you have seen something that breaks these guidelines, or you are worried about someone, use the reporting tools in the App first, they reach us fastest. For anything else, or to escalate, you can contact our Grievance Officer.

7. Changes to these guidelines

We may update these guidelines as the App and the law evolve. When we make a material change, we will update the date at the top of this page, and, where the change also affects the binding terms, we will notify registered users as set out in our Terms of Service.
